THE IMPACT
We hope our images impacted anyone that may be viewing them and got them planning a trip out here. The trip was a great way to reset and connect with a more peaceful side of photography.

Background
On March 1, 1872, Yellowstone became the first national park for all to enjoy the unique hydrothermal and geologic features. Within Yellowstone's 2.2 million acres, visitors have unparalleled opportunities to observe wildlife in an intact ecosystem, explore geothermal areas that contain about half the world’s active geysers, and view geologic wonders like the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River.

Reasons of the project
This was solely a pleasure trip where our reasoning was to enjoy the park and what it had to offer.

The Drive
Out and back
We had a beautiful drive out to the park with one stop in Wyoming for a quick nights rest. On our way back the snow began to start falling which made for another pretty drive headed back home.

Park Sections
Norris Geyser Basin
This is the oldest and hottest thermal area in Yellowstone, divided into two sections: the Porcelain Basin and the Back Basin.
Old Faithful Area
This area includes the famous Old Faithful Geyser, which erupts regularly and is one of the park's most popular attractions.
Lamar Valley
Another prime wildlife viewing area, Lamar Valley is famous for its diverse wildlife population.
Canyon Area
This includes the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, which features stunning waterfalls and colorful rock formations

Camp
Hot tent
We got a chance to break out the hot tent for this trip. We ended up getting snow on a couple of the nights which helped with the insulation of the tent.

Wildlife
Throughout the few days we were there we were able to see the classic buffalo along with some other wildlife scattered around. We were only able to capture images of the buffalo though.

Weather
Ultimately we had great weather while we were there minus the last day. On that last day the snow rolled in which made for some great images on that last day!
