THE MISSION
For this project, the main goal was to capture the new section they had just added. Along with that, we wanted to showcase the unique style of this practice track.

We spent a full day out at the track shooting and were able to put together several final products for Jeff and Kim. These included a promo video, FPV track preview, aerial images, and ground images.

THE IMPACT
Our hope was to provide coverage of the track that Jeff and Kim would be able to use on whichever platform they choose. We also wanted to provide general coverage to help spread the word about this hidden gem!
Track Background
The track is located in Leadville, Colorado, and has been around for some time now. The plot of land is located right next to the Lake County Airport and the track is nothing but views. Onsite there is a practice track, kids track, and enduro track. Along with that are facilities such as restrooms and a check-in booth, where the lovely Kim greets everyone coming in!
Reasons of the project
We were thrilled when Jeff and Kim welcomed us out to shoot. Both of us have spent the majority of our time on bikes riding here. This was the go-to spot growing up in the area and after we made the move to Colorado Springs we would be up at the track all the time in the summer. To be able to head back out there to shoot and film was truly a pleasure.
The process
One day of shooting
Everything we needed was shot in a single day. As we were cruising up from the Springs with our bikes we were making some final adjustments to what we planned on shooting. The morning started out early so we could focus on getting a track preview before anyone was out there. From there we went into shooting a lot of the groundwork as well as got some amazing FPV shots chasing a new friend we met at the track, Jake Bork.
Track Features
Plenty to do for everyone
Practice Track
The track is extremely well maintained and the consistency of the dirt is forgiving but still tacky enough to rut up nicely!
Kids Track
Perfect place for the kids to get the hang of their bike and even catch a little air some some of the rollers.
Endro Track
Winding through the woods and a wonderful sport to work on some more technical enduro riding.
Facilities
Onsite is a bathroom, check-in booth, and plenty of areas to grab some shade. Water truck onsite as well.
Imagery
Ground and Aerial
Our imagery for this project consisted mostly of drone work for those encompassing shots of the whole track. We also shot images of several of the riders there to show the track in action.
FPV Footage
This was our main focus of the day. The FPV shots we were able to get of the track and specifically of Jake Bork were fa nominal. The thrill of chasing motocross bikes while in the goggles is a feeling like none other. We want to thank Jake for letting us follow him for a lot of the day. Without him, the footage just wouldn't be the same.
